While Submarina’s use of fresh, locally-grown produce had earned them an enthusiastic following, heavy competition drove them to engage Tesser for a comprehensive rebrand. Tesser designed a bright, warm interior, taking visual cues from a coastal farmer’s market to create a relaxed and sunny atmosphere. The new logo, descriptor, store design, menu board, and packaging convey the fresh, healthy aspects of the food along with the company’s laid-back attitude. A custom wall mural of Southern California - featuring recreational landmarks and local produce suppliers - promotes the easy-going, active lifestyle the brand stands for.
